Hallo,

Dear guest, because I\'m driving a 508, as you can see at my picture, I do not have any spare-parts for your model. But I\'ll ask the other users in the special thread for looking for spareparts. I\'ll post it here, if we could do something for you.

If you read any answer for me on this forum in german, may you make a short translation for me because I can not speak german... Thank you so much!

For guest, what Idefix says, he is shure, that there have to be two parts between the engine and the silencer at your car. Could you please tell us, if it is so and what part of them you need.

Neuling, you are being very helpfull, thanks! Basically, the exhaust pipe is made fron 3 parts: 1-from the engine to the silencer (joint included )2-the silencer itself ( kind of big round thing ) and 3- A last part from the silencer to the end of the pipe on the side of the van. The part I need comes down from the engine and turns left ( driver´s left hand side )to connect with the silencer.
For the one asking about the horsepower, I would say its a 2.350ccm and about 65 hps.
Thank you all for your help and your time!!

huhu,

hier mal ein bild von einem OM616, wie ihn unser gast hat (links ist der OM616 :-O:-O:-O)

dear guest, here you see a picture of your engine (the leftone):

it is not correct, that you have only tree piecec. it must be four pieces.
from the engine first comes the elbow (on the picture you see the engine WITH the elbow), then a pipe, then the silencer an then another pipe.
because of your sentece \"part I need comes down from the engine and turns left ( driver´s left hand side )to connect with the silencer. \" i think, you need the pipe, NOT the elbow, wich connectet the elbow with the silencer.

gruss, micha

DEEAR Idefix, master Idefix!, you are right!! I have been speaking as the elbow was part of the engine... Sorry about my ignorance! The engine looks the same but mine does not have the pipe for the oil at the front, it has got it at the top. If this can help you, the joint has got 3 screws and the pipe I need goes from the engine to the left side, over the hand brake cables. Please ask me for any more information you may need to help me. At the moment, this forum is my only chance...! People here ( Malaga, south Spain )does not know a shit about our loved vans!! Dont even at Mercedes-Benz Oficial sales! Thanks again and again!!

dear guest,

by your problem it is not important, where to find the oilfilter. the exhaust system is the same.

ok, i think now the best is to find out the official daimler part number for the piece of pipe you need.

when you have the part-number, you can \"walk :-P\" to the next Daimler Service Center and order exactly THIS part from germany. i think when they have the part number, it should be no problem to get the spare part.

the problem now is, that i don\'t have the data-card from my ex L407D here at work and after work i have to go very quickly to a busfreaks-meeting. so for ME the first time to call to Daimler Crysler is on monday. but i think there will be another person in the forum, wich could call to DC today. i will have a look for another busfreak, to call to DC.

so, i\'ve called to Daimler-Crysler (!)

when your FIN has the Number 182066 to 349453 at the end, you need the spare part with the number 309 490 25 19. the price belongs to 52,13 ex. taxrate in germany.

DC said, that it is NO problem for DC in Spain to send a request to \"Germersheim\" in Germany, to get the part number AND the spare part. the time, DC need to get an answer from Germersheim, is max. 24 hours.

Dear Idefix, first thing is to say THANK YOU! I have been at Mercedes Benz Oficial shop here and they ordered the piece. It was wrong because they use to made the 407 in Spain with a different pipe, smallest and straight to the silencer on the right side. Mine turns down to left. Im now waiting a second order from them wich is coming from Germany. I saw the picture on the computer and I think it is going to be wrong again... In Spain is now holydays until tuesday. I will know then if its the good one or not.
It would perfect it somebody can give me the reference number so I will order the right one. My Chasis Number is: 30912510372604.
